The Indian charity provides medical care and rehabilitates orphaned and underprivileged children

Pune, Maharashtra, India, January 25, 2019 -- Exela Technologies, Inc. (“Exela”) (NASDAQ: XELA), a leader in business process automation (“BPA”) across several industries with location agnostic solutions, supports causes related to the welfare of children and their families. The company and its employees regularly participate in events for benevolent causes and also host events throughout the United States.

Recently, Exela raised funds and awareness for SOFOSH, a charity based out of Pune, India, during Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot races held in Dallas, Texas and Santa Monica, California. The employees raised $7,200 and this was matched by the company to bring the total amount raised to $14,400 (roughly Rs. 10 lac).

Par Chadha, Chairman, Exela Technologies, and Dr. Xin Cheng, Partner, HGM Funds, along with other top officials from Exela India visited SOFOSH to interact with SOFOSH's management team. Team Exela also spent time interacting with the children at SOFOSH, learning more about how the NGO functions, the facilities on hand and the different issues the SOFOSH team encounters while performing their day to day activities. Par and Dr. Xin really appreciated the work done by SOFOSH and hope to form a long relationship with the charitable organization.

Established in 1964, SOFOSH caters to the needs of abandoned or orphaned children in the neo-metropolitan city of Pune. Apart from taking care of the special medical and psychological needs of these children, they also help them find suitable homes through adoption.

The Chadha family routinely provides funds to the UCLA Children's Hospital and along with HGM portfolio companies raises funds for the Orthopaedic Institute for Children, Los Angeles. The family is also involved with The Shanti Foundation, a philanthropic organization which primarily provides vaccinations to villagers in northern India.
